Transportation in the city

  • The University of St. Gallen is perched on Rosenberg hill, overlooking St Gallen and the Alpstein mountain range. 
  • The University of St.Gallen is accessible by train (SBB), plane (Zurich Airport and St.Gallen Altenrhein Airport), and the A1 highway. 
  • It is easily accessible by public transportation and is around 15 minutes walk from the city center or railway station. 
  • The St.Gallen-Altenrhein airport is close to campus, only 10 minutes from Rorschach and 30 minutes from St.Gallen.
  • Zurich airport is about one hour from St.Gallen by vehicle or train. A direct train travels every hour from Zurich airport to St.Gallen.

  • The campus is well-known for integrating art and architecture.
  • Several plenary halls and 54 business rooms at the convention and executive education facility.

  • Unisport provides a diverse selection of sports at its own and third-party venues. You have access to a sports facility on our campus, including sports halls, workout rooms, an artificial grass pitch, a beach volleyball court, and other facilities. 
  • The University of St. Gallen has over 80 clubs. The International Students' Committee, which prepares and coordinates the annual St. Gallen Symposium, is particularly well-known. 
  • The surrounding landscape, including the town of St. Gallen on Lake Constance and the Alps, provides opportunities for outdoor sports such as skiing, hiking, climbing, and sailing.
  • Sapelli café has a variety of lunch items at varying prices. Throughout the day, Mensa A in Buildings 07, 01, and 09 serves baked pastries, cakes, sandwiches, other snacks, and various hot and cold drinks.

  • The college does not provide on-campus accommodation. However, the Housing Office offers furnished rooms to exchange students in St.Gallen.
  • All bedrooms are modernly furnished and include the following interiors: a single bed with a mattress, a closet, a desk with a chair and table light, a pillow, a duvet and bed linen
  •  WLAN/WiFi is available in all rooms, and a shared laundry area with a washing machine and a tumble dryer, which is mostly free.
